“I am here because God moved powerfully in my life when I chose to pursue him and embrace his perspective of who I am and the purpose he had for my life, rather than embracing the world’s view.”~ Anonymous

Sharon believes that God intends all of us to have abundant life with meaningful relationships and Godly purpose. She holds a holistic view of people that honors biology, race, culture, social upbringing, personal history and spiritual beliefs. She views human spirituality and faith as a source of great strength that impacts a deeper philosophical meaning to our lives.

Through her own life challenges and adversities, Sharon has adopted the perspective that “many times shifts in faith come in the form of something painful.” She provides a safe place for people who have a desire to question their faith, nurture their contemplation, and open that space up in their lives instead of closing it down. She believes that faith can shift our vision from our shortcomings and weaknesses to a power much greater than anything we possess.

Sharon integrates spiritual values in her practice and utilizes a variety of psychological interventions and therapeutic approaches, but not in a way that assumes specific spiritual and religious practices. She uses faith principles to help people address their problems through psychological guidance and is open to assisting people who are eager to apply Christian principles to guide them through their life challenges.

Lastly, Sharon sees therapy as a gentle process forged by listening and building trust, offering a secure environment for people to heal past hurts, identify problems, give meaning to their lives and spur change in their hearts.
